To all the Indigenous peoples who reside at “the roof of the world”, the snow Leopard is a sacred being who is at once a shaman and considered to have been born to remove the sins of human’s past lives. Killing on of these magnificent animals means having those sins transferred to your own life.

Snow Leopards are solitary and elusive, roaming the high peaks of the Himalayas hiding behind screens of snow, wind and clouds. To see one is a rare and mystical sight.

But for all their elusiveness they are still are hunted for their fur and are critically endangered as humans encroach high into the Himalayas.
